DT Tim Bowens was Miami's first round selection in the 1994 draft. Bowens was named defensive rookie of the year in 1994 by the Assosiated Press and Pro Football Weekly.

On the 5th of May 1976, Consultants were hired to do a feasibility study for South Florida Stadium. On the 5th of March 1984, Joe Robbie announced plans to build a new multi purpose stadium in north Dade County.
