QB Tua had his chances but he could not come up with anything in the frigid weather. Disappointing ens to a once hopeful season. D
RB The Dolphins offense was just lost amid the elementrs and the rn game was a part of the late season collapse. D
WR The Dolphins top 2 WRs were clearly not 100% healthwise and the team really don't ahve a WR3 or WR4. The offense really does not feature a TE. D-
OL The Dolphins just could not handle so many injuries. They managed to hold on but were certainly not a strength once the injuries started to mount. D
LB The Dolphins ran out of LBs and it showed, there was zero pass rush but what can you really expect when the were playing LBs they signed of the street mid week. D
DL The Dolphins did hold the Chiefs to a bunch of FGs but the offense could not get going and at the end the Chiefs managed to score. The Chiefs looked the best they did all season. This could have been Cristian Wilkins last game as a Dolphin. D+
Secondary The Dolphins had all kinds of problems and I am not sure the secondary was on the top of the list... D
Special teams The Dolphins special teams did not play very well all year, not just against the Chiefs. D-
Coaching
What a disappointing season. It started full of hope, the Dolphins managed to have a 3 game lead with 5 games to go and a 14 point lead against the Titans at home and they could not deliver. It was all downhill from there, bad luck to go along bad decisions. They are just not good enough to hang with a stacked Chiefs (or Ravens or Bills) team. A very challenging off season awaits Miami with a bad salary cap situation. D
