QB Teddy Bridgewater played one snap, was sacked and then ruled out by the spotter following the NFL's ridicolous new rule that the spotter, not the actuall doctors and not the neutral doctor can rule out a player the passes all the tests because he thinks he stumblled. The Dolphins played the game with their 3rd string 7th round rookie QB Skylar Thompson. He looked exactly that - a 7th round rookie that is not prepared to play in the NFL. He made all kinds of rookie mistakes. He also had 2 crushing turovers. This team really needs Tua (or at least Teddy) back. The offense just looks diffrent with Tua. D
RB The Dolphins running game showed up for the first time this year. Mostert had 113 yards on 18 cariies and a TD. He is clearly the lead back. Edmonds dropped another two passes (he dropped a sure TD last week) and was replaced by Myles Gaskin. B
WR It's hard to grade the WRs as Thompson did not throw the ball down the field a lot and on the 3 times he did Hill (twice) and Waddle did manage to get penalties. Gesicki dropped a pass. Hill is just in another level and you can see it every game. They miss Tua the most (especially Waddle).C
OL The Dolphins O-line was actually decent especailly since both starting tackles were out. Little is not playing as well as he did at the begining of the year and Jackson is now cleared to return if he feels better. They blocked well for the running game and they did give the QB enough time but Skylar just held the ball for too long. B-
LB The defense gave the Jets 38 points (the horrendous officiating gave them the other 2). That included FIVE rushing TDs. Now, they did have short fields but still - the Jets ?! F

Secondary Playing without Howard and Byron Jones is difficult. Kohou was OK. Needham did not have a good game and Noah is... well... Holland can not do it alone. Teh end result was OK considering all the injuries, they were helped by the fact that it was Zach Wilson and not Kirk Cousins that;s coming up. The Dolphins need X back. C+
Special teams By far, the worst unit on the team. They missed a FG and there is no return game. The coverage wasn't that good either. D-
Coaching McDaniel did his best with a 3rd string QB, out two starting tackles and two starting CBs. The defense is really not playing well. The Dolphins chose, in the off season, to keep the defnse intact because of their great play against bad QBs. Maybe it was a mistake... Somehow the Dolphins were still in it in the 4th. They won't win with a third string QB and this defense that's for sure. C-
