Larry Csonka's number 39 is now officialy retired.

RB Larry Csonka is the Dolphins all-time leading rusher. (Also see the Dolphin numbers page)

WR Mark Duper, a part of "the marks brothers" along with Mark Clayton is Miami's all time leading WR in receiving yards.

WR Mark Duper was Dan Marino's favorite deep threat. Duper came into the league as Miami's first round pick in 1982.

Bob Griese's number 12 is retired and Griese is in the Hall of Fame.


mandich Jim Mandich caught a few balls for the Dolphins. He was also the Dolphins announcer at WQAM - the Miami Dolphins football network.


Manny Fernandez helped the no-name defense carry Miami to two straight superbowl trophies.


stanfill Bill Stanfill still holds the Dolphins single season sack record. He registered 18.5 sacks in 1973.

In 1979, Dan Marino was the 4th round pick of the Kansas city Royals in the baseball draft. In the very late rounds the Royals would pick former Bronco QB John Elway.


AND MORE...
The USFL's Los Angeles Express made Dan Marino the first ever pick in the USFL draft when they took him with the first overall pick of the first USFL draft. They obviously knew much more than 26 NFL teams that picked ahead of the Dolphins in 1983.
