QB Pennington had a sub-par outing as far as completion percentage 13 of 23, but he did not throw an INT and it wasn't even close. He threw for 166 yards. B-
RB Ricky played a little better than Ronnie did but they shared carries. Ricky 15 for 54 yards and Ronnie had 48 on 15 carries. Polite added 20 yards on 3 crucial carries. He's a nice surprise as a starting FB. He also coverted a crucial 3rd down with a 6 yard catch. B
WR Camarillo is out for the year and Bess started in his place. He did lead the team with 6 catches for 84 yards. Ginn added 4 catches for 55 yards. The TEs combined for only 2 catches and they did not step up in Camarillo's absense. Wilford did not catch a pass. London caught his second pass of the year. C+
OL The pass protection could have been better and so was the run blocking. Smiley was injured early and did not return. The Phins keep having offside penalties Ndukue had 2 silly offsides that nearly cost the team. C
LB Ayodele grabbed an INT. Roth, Crowder and Porter were quiet. Porter did not have any pressure on the QB and without him there is just no pressure at all. C+
DL There was no pressure from the base defense. None. The run blocking in the first half was just awful but it got a lot better in the seconf half. The Rams are a very bad team and they looked good in the first half and they shouldn't have. C+
Secondary The Rams are a bad team but they do have solid WRs. Torry Holt may be 32 but he is a hall of fame WR (7 probowls...) They did manage to limit Marc Bulger to under 50% completion and had 2 INTs (3 with Ayodele's pick). They played really well and were the strongest unit on the defense today. B+
Special teams Carpenter connected on 3 FGs (breaking the rookie record with 11 straight FGs). The coverage team was below average as always. every return becomes an adventure with Miami's coverage and the blocking for Ginn isn't much better. C+
Coaching They got by against a team they should have handled easily. This level of play will not be enough next week against the Bills in the crucial division game. On the other hand, they won on the road and moved to 7-5. Nobody thought they will fighting for the playoffs this late in the season, enough said. B
