QBRyan Tannehill followed his worst game of the year with his second worst day of the year and led Miami's unbelievable collapse. He just missed WRs, again missing a wide open Wallace deep and throwing 3 INTs (tied a career worse). He finished the game and the year with 20 of 40 for 204 yards, 1 TD and 3 INTs. Just awful 2 weeks and he played poorly as did the rest of the team when it counted most. F
RB Lamar Miller carried 17 times for 73 yards which is decent considering the Jets are a very good run stopping team but the Dolphins are now 1 of 6 converting 4th and one, that's just inexcusable. C
WR Brian Hartline dropped a few balls then was out injured. 60 million mad had... 5 recpetions for 25 yards and a TD. He was open on a long ball that Tannehill overthrew. Matthews also dropped a third down pass and Moore played like the 7th WR he is. Clay put up some numbers when it was all over. F
OL They did not give up a sack for a change. The run blocking was inconsistent. They did have a few good plays especially between the guards and the center but usually could not open anything for the run game. The O-line cost the Dolphins a few games this year but this was not one of them. C
LB The Dolphins gave up 154 yards rushing to a team without a real QB. Last week they gave up 203 yards to a team starting a third string practice squad rookie free agent QB. Are the LBs really getting 5 million a year ? What are the chances they stay in 2014 ? A don't even think about getting a sack... F-
DL The D-line is also to blame for that god awful ridiculous run "defense". How did they give up 20 points (should have been 23 but for a missed FG) to such a bad team like the Jets. ZERO sacks. With all the high draft picks and money going to the D-line they really should play better. F
Secondary They mad Geno Smith look like a legitimate NFL QB (he is not). Smith had 17 completions on 27 attempts for 190 yards when throwing to, without a doubt, the worst receiving corps in the NFL. I mead a guy named David Nelso is their best WR ? huh ? Grimes deserved to be voted to the probowl but not based on this game and Caroll was just lucky. If Geno Smith was half decent the Jets could have easily scored more when Smith just missed open WRs. F
Special teams Even Fields was bad. Really... Thigpen had a few good returns. But other than that it was average. They don't get points because the Jets Kicker missed a FG, that has nothing to do with the Dolphins. C+
Coaching They had two games against a bad Bills team starting a third string practice squad rookie free agent at QB and a home finale against a very bad Jets team starting the worst QB in the league. They only needed to win ONE of the games in order to get to the playoffs and they score seven points in 2 games ? SEVEN ? How in the world did they miss the playoffs ?? We have a LONG offseason ahead. Changes are coming. Very disapointing ending to the season, on both sides of the ball - offense and defense. F!
