QB Pennington played an awful game throwing 4 INTs. He did not have enough time to throw the ball and anything over 10 yard became unrealistic. He had only 3 WRs on the roster and Bess misses some time with an injury and London had 2 career catches prior to this game. He finished 25 of 38 for 252 yards 1 TD and 4 INTs. F
RB Ricky and Ronnie did not run the ball very well as the O-line did not provide any running room for the duo. FB Polite is probably better than we think as he keeps converting 3rd and 1 situations. Ronnie ran 12 times for 19 yards, Ricky gained 17 on only 4 carries. D+
WR Only 3 WRs played. I don't understand the coachesw decision on that one especially when Bess was injured for a few plays and London has 2 carrer regular season catches... Ginn caught his first pass in the second half and finished with 5 catches for only 38 yards. Fasano didn't have a single catch. WR is top priority for 2009. D-
OL The O-line could not keep Pennington upright and could not open things up for the running game. The middle 3 are just not as good as you would like. I guess those positions will be addressed in the off-season. D-
LB Crowder, Ayodele and Porter had a quiet day. They could not generate any pass-rush and the Ravens ran well too much againsty the Dolphins. The Ravens had 151 yards running. C-
DL The D-Line had ZERO sacks and not many pressures. They also failed to stop the run (151 yards running for the Ravens). Aside from the occasional Vonnie Holiday pressure Joe Flacco had a million hours to think and throw the ball, at times it looked as if he could pull out a chair if he wanted to. No pressure all season, this game was nothing new. F
Secondary The Dolphins secondary is better than advertised. especially given the million days Flacco had to throw the ball. Flacco only completed 9 of 23 even though two were for 31 yards. B+
Special teams A botched extra point ?! nothing was working for the Fins today. C-
Coaching I never understood the thinking of going with 3 WRs on the active roster. If one gets injured (Bess missed a few plays with an injury) you are left with only 2 WRs and that limits the play calling considerably. At times I just didn't understand the play calling, example onw - a reverse when at the 24 and you need a FG and a TD ? why risk a play that goes out of FG range before it gets back in when trying to make it a one possesion game ? a pass on 2nd a nd goal at the one and then a run on 3rd and goal ? They had a trmendous year but I don't think this was their best game, not at all. D
