QB All those who thought Moore was better than Henne found out they were wrong. Moore did not play well and he showed there is a reason he is a backup QB, and not a very good one. He completed only 16 of 34 for over 200 yards with 2 awful INTs, one returned 100 yards for a TD. The team only managed 6 points in three trips to the redzone. He started off throwing to a covered Gates a long ball on 3rd down when he had a wide open Hilliard for a first down, he did not see Clay open by 10 yards in the endzone, he threw 2 awful INTs and even Marshall's dropped TD was not a very good throw to put it mildly. 11 more games till the team drafts a QB... D-
RB Daniel Thomas showed he is normal. His run blocking was not that good but he played OK. Bush had his best game rushing for over 70 yards. The offense scored 6 points - S-I-X points ! part of this is on the backs, especially in the red zone. C-
WR This wasn't a good ame for Marshall. He dropped a sure TD that he should have caught but the pass was bad. He did have 6 receptions for 109 yards. I know it's popular to blame Marshall, after all he is making 47M dollars but the other WRs were even worse. Hartline also dropped a pass, Bess was awful and Fasano caught one single pass... you get the idea. D-
OL The pass blocking was average, at best. The run blocking was average and that's putting it mildly. Long and Pouncey are solid (even though Pouncey did not have a great game), all others are up to the next coach to cut... D+
LB The defense played OK in the first half. Yes they did give up an 81 yard drive for a TD. But other than that the first half was great, the second half was different. Wake did not get to the QB and JT is just done. Misi had his first sack. Kevin Burnett had his first decent game. It's just oo late. B-
DL Zero sacks. I'm not talkinf in the ame I'm talking for the rntir season, five games - ZERO sacks and ZERO pass rush. This was supposed to be the team's strength, Really ? Really ?? Really ??? ZERO ! D
Secondary Sean Smith left the game and returned after he had cramps - This team practices in MIAMI ? Davis came back and was good, so was Will Allen. The second half wasn't very good. The Santonio Holmes 38 yard score was just awful. Smith dropped the easiest INT ever. C+
Special teams Gates shold be benched. He keeps bringign out kickoffs from 5+ yards deep and he doesn't make it to the 20... The turnover on the Jets kickoff was nice. C+
Coaching One of the worst performances in recent memory. With more than a minute to go in the half losing 14-6 (and an 0-4 record) they just quit. QUIT. Ran twice and ran out the clock, they had a timeout but they did not even try ? The play calling was awful. Long pass on 3rd and short, really ? Just an awful game. The team just quit and that's the worse thing. If they keep playing like that they are going to "win" the first overall pick in the draft easy, but if Andrew Luck watched the game he may decide to stay in school, they are that bad and inept. F-
