QB - Jay Fiedler looked very sharp. He did decline at the end as usual. He plyed great throwing great balls and almost all of them were accurate. He finished 12 of 20 for 225 yards, 2 TDs and no INTs. He completed 3 passes for over 30 yards including the 65 yard pass screen pass to RB Lamar Smith. His rating was 132.2. A-
RB - Lamar Smith has a hard time running the ball. His average was bad, but some of it is due to the 4th quarter when it was clear Miami was trying to run out the clock. His fumble was returned for a TD. He did have a very nice 4 yard TD run and a huge 65 yard reception on a screen for a TD. In the long reception Smith put a move on Jevon Kearse that left Kearse catching air. B
WR - Great game for the receivers. Not for the number of catches but for the fact that they came through when it mattered. Huge receptions by Oronde Gadsden became almost routine. Chambers caught a long 36 yard reception and proved to be the real deal. He almost had another big catch. McKnight had a decent game. B+
OL - They had a good game. The run blocking wasn't very good but Fiedler usualy had time to throw. Springgs was lost for the year. Up to his injury he played very well. Kearse and Kevin Carter had zero sacks. B-
DL - They dominated a good Titans' OL. Eddie George had no where to go. The heat was on McNair most of the game. McNair was also injured after a Jermaine Haley hit. Gardener and Taylor collected one sack each. A-
LB - Zach was everywhere. They blitzed more. Rogers lined up as DE at times. Russell was OK in his first game. Greenwood played about 10 plays in place of Russell. A-
Secondary - They played OK. Surtain and Cousin were OK. They played good at timed but they were also beaten on several occasions. Madsin allowed a TD when his receiver was wide open. Walker and Madison (his 4th from McNair) collected their first INT. B
Special teams - Great game. Mare hit his first FG. Turk was huge. He bombed all of his punts, one went for 58 yards. Marion returned the opening kick for 55 yards and set Miami's first FG. A-
Coaches - The coaches had weeks to prepare. Apparently, they did. The Dolphins looked as ready as a team can be. A
