QB It wasn't Jay's best day of the year. He threw 2 INTs, one of them was returned for a TD. Although it was also McKnight's fault for not looking for the ball there is enough blame to go around. Jay also missed a wide open Chambers on a long throw which would have resulted in a 60+ yard TD. C
RB Oh, Ricky. Williams carried the ball a franchise record 42 times ! for 153 yards and a TD. He did have his now usual fumble, but can you expect more 42 rushed ! he gained almost 70 tards in the 4th quarter. A-
WR A quite day for the WRs. Thompson got in the game a little and McMichael had his best day of the season. Chambers played well again and scored his 3rd TD of the season. McKnight didn't have a great day, the INT was also his fault. C+
OL Jay had a relatively pressure free day. Wade Smith showed signd of him being a rookie, but that's understandable. Ruddy was lost for a few weeks so 2nd year man McKinney is now the starter. He should do well. B-
LB The LBs, like the entire offense had a good day. Seau had his first sack as a Dolphin and Greenwood was also in on a few plays. A-
DL They finally showed a decent ability to put pressure on the QB as Ogunleye had had 2 sacks and Tim Bowens added another. They pressured Bledsoe on most passing plays and stoped Buffalo's run almost completely. A-
Secondary Welcome to the 2003 season. The dolphin secondary arrived at the 2003 season, albeit 2 games late. The 4 probowlers showed their true ability as they collected 3 INTs and stoped Bills' WR Eric Moulds (mostly Madison - the only starter not to get an INT). They played very well limiting Bledsoe to 98 yrads passing. A
Special teams As I said before the dolphins might as well cut Royals. He had another poor game. Mare was even worse. He missed 2 FGs one from inside the 45 and one just outside of 50. I understand they are long FGs but the Dolphins are paying Mare 2 million a year (yes, 2 million, probably most in the league), he should be kicking almost evrything in beause what's the point then. The team could get an average kicker that kicks 50/50 for the league minimim. The return game was nothing to write home about either. D-
Coaching The dolphins, in general played well, they looked prepared. They did make mistakes but those weren't coaching mistakes. The team looked good. B+
