QB Harrington started for the injured Culpepper. He had only 1 bad throw that resulted in an INT and 7 points for New England. He finished 26 of 41 for 232 yards and 2 INTs with no TDs. The second INT was a bad throw but it bounced off the WR. C+
RB Ronnie is running hard, no doubt, but the running game is not working. He had 39 yards on 17 carries for a mere 2.3 average and he also lost a fumble resulting in a New England FG. D-
WR Booker was injured early. Chambers just is not having a good season. Welker was great getting 9 balls for 77 yards. McMichael played well, he had 6 catches for 84 yards. C-
OL They played much better than before but that is not saying much, because they were awful up until now. At times, Harrington had time to throw. You wonder if Culpepper had that time... The run blocking wasn't very good though. C
LB Not spectacular, but they played OK. Zach, Spragan and Crowder led the Dolphins in tackles. B-
DL The D-line did a very good job. They did not get to Brady (1 Taylor sack), but they blocked a lot of passes. They are a good reason Brady was held to 140 yards. B+
Secondary Brady did not play well. Yeremiah Bell had a great game. Will Allen's penalty sealed the loss at the end but the team did not lose because of the secondary, that's for sure. B-
Special teams A blocked FG, a missed FG and a botched snap on a punt. will you give any other grade ? F
Coaching I'm sorry but I just don't get it. You are not going to hold Brady to 60 yards on the day. You know they will get in the endzone sooner or later. The Dolphins punted inside the Pats' 40 yard line and on another chance called a late developing screen (that started before the line) on 3rd and 10 from the 31. On 3rd and 5 from the Pats 36, 13-10. for me it's a two down thing, you can even run it get 3 yards and then decide. The Dolphins tried a weird play to Welker that fell incomplete and punted... Then at the end, down by 10 at the Pats' 31, 3rd and 10 and the Dolphins tried a screen pass that never worked for the Dolphins and it's a play that begins before the line of scrimage. Obviously, the DOlphins lost two yards and then missed the 50 yarder. I thought they will try to get 5-6 yards and either kick a 42-43 yard FG or try going for it at 4th and 4. I just can't understand. They need to find a way to score. They made all kinds of mistakes,
even wacky ones (a block FG AND a botched punt ?!?!?!?!). The Phins scored 17,6,13,15,10 points in the last 5 games. That's just not enough to win. F
